Spectrum Energy Focuses on Alternative Energy Solutions
Spectrum Energy Development, Inc. (Spectrum Energy) is working hard to make a difference not only to our economic aspirations but also our economic future. Spectrum Energy has over 100 years combined experience building solar PV plants across California with a focus on providing the best in alternative energy solutions.
Spectrum Energy was recently featured in Cal Contractor magazine for installing a solar power generating facility at the Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve (SMER) solar research site. SMER and San Diego State University will conduct academic research projects at the new facility to study solar radiation, solar energy, soils, and other meteorological and geotechnical data as well as habitat and habitat restoration.
Working on an ecological reserve presents many challenges, including navigating around trees, stumps, stones, and boulders that are common to the area. Spectrum worked with Quinn Rental Services to select the right equipment for use under the special circumstances surrounding this project.
